Bon Weekend: Rodin Museum Edition

Sometimes I am slow to edit photos or get a post up but occasionally it all works out for the best. Dior held their haute couture fashion show for fall 2014 at the Rodin Museum on Monday which give me the perfect opportunity to post photos from event mixed with my photos from a recent visit. Guest to the show entered through the main entrance, unless they were celebrities who were whisked inside the other entrance in their cars.  They walked through the museum and out to the back garden where the round venue was set up. It was filled with thousands of real flowers and served as a spectacular backdrop that I’m sure even Rodin would have approved of.

Rodin Museum photos by me.  Street style photos from Vogue, Style.com and Harper’s Bazaar.

It was the most exquisite show. An elliptical building set in the beautiful gardens of Musee Rodin and inside, the walls adorned with hundreds and thousands of fresh phalaenopsis orchids. I was certain I was collected by an angel and placed in heaven… and then there were the magnificent fabrics transformed into heavenly gowns and delicious suede ankle bootees popping with colour… Dior divineness. Truly celestial.
