Chic in New York: The Marlton Hotel
by habituallychic
04 . 01 . 14If I lived downtown, I would hang out at The Marlton Hotel everyday. It’s the type of place that looks like it’s been there forever when in actuality, the hotel used to be the former flophouse of Jack Kerouac and Lenny Bruce. The space has had a top to bottom make over by the keen eye of owner Sean MacPherson. When I visited, I couldn’t stop ogling the design details like the great lighting and brass fixtures, as well as the gorgeous new restaurant Margaux. On a grey, cold day, the enclosed outdoor space was bright and uplifting. I hear the rooms in the hotel are a bit on the small side but when you visit New York, you should be out enjoying the city or at least sitting in the chic lobby.
