New Paris Style

I remember seeing this apartment on the cover of the book New Paris Style but didn’t know the designer until today. It is the home of interior designer Florence Baudoux which is a Haussmann apartment of epic proportions. The entire space is painted grey and could be dark if it were not for the tall French doors and mirrors which bounce the light around the room. It’s another example of a space that’s not my complete style but I still can appreciate the details and I especially love the choice of lilac colored sofas.  I am also starting to admire the French for their lack of clutter. Of course, it’s much easier to do in a place this large. Just another reason to move to Paris.

All of that gray and gilt and herringbone floors…a perffect background for near anything really.

    Minimal, but not too.
    Beautiful Spaces.

Very interesting choice of colors…it really makes for a lovely space, although not my taste.
But, Heather, “lack of clutter” is not the first phrase that comes to mind when thinking of French decorating!
