Gilles et Boissier: Part Deux
by habituallychic
06 . 05 . 13Since I know not everyone is interested in my Parisian slideshow, I thought I’d mix things up. Of course, I have Paris on the brain so we’re not getting too far afield. I posted some pics of the Paris apartment of designers Patrick Gilles and Dorothee Boissier of Gilles et Boissier a little while back here but just found some new photos on the AD France site. I highly doubt I can find an apartment to rent this fabulous on my next trip but I am sure going to try. If you don’t read French, Google Translate with happily translate the story into the language of your choice. C’est Magnifique!
I love this photo because there was a entire conversation about the plural pronunciation of the French word for round porthole window, hublot, during my visit to BETC.

I would love to revisit Paris again this fall!! Hopefully I will have a busy summer and squirrel away enough $$ to spend a week. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we were both there at the same time? Traveling alone can be great (I was there on my own last fall for 5 days), but it’s always nice to have someone to eat dinner with 😉
This home is perfection! I love Paris the whole atmosphere in Paris and the character of the buildings and architecture. The moldings and details in this apartment are stunning!

Oooh, would love to live in that flat!!! There’s so much we need to do in ours, but we do have gorgeous paneling as they do. Parisian flats are the prettiest aren’t they?

Perfect variations on Black and White. The art works and placements are fantastic. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration.

What a great post for the car ride home from JFK. I’m still longing for more of The City Of Light!

Hi,
A dream of mine was realized last year when my husband and I bought a pied-à-terre in Paris. It was so much fun to gut and renovate it with the help of an amazing interior designer who got my concept of translating an Armani suit into an apartment (monochromatic, sleek, simple and chic). I am always scouring photos of French apts for ideas for our next Paris apt!
