I know I just posted a lot of color but what’s really been inspiring lately is black and white. It’s the hot look for spring 2013 fashion and it’s still a classic for the home. You might remember that Danish fashion designer Malene Birger is also a fan from this post. Well, she’s been at it again at her new home in Palma, Mallorca. The article was in Dutch so I can’t tell you any more but as we know, a picture is worth a thousand words. I really wish she’s open a store in New York but until that happens, you can shop for By Malene online at Shopbop and Net-a-Porter.

Can you say cool? Feast for my eyes this morning. I love the mix of all that leather with the soft rug. How about the ceiling and gallery wall? Love. That blue light fixture in the kitchen is a simple pop of color in all that black and white. Those fashion designers! Their homes are always amazing. Thanks so much for sharing these amazing pics!

What an apartment!!! I love the way Malene has mixed the old with the modern, and thrown in touches of boho with objets d’art from her travels. Everything has a PATINA, which is something we Americans need to learn to embrace!
