I usually prefer the beach over the mountains because I think there are less spiders. But when it’s hot and humid, a lake house does look inviting. As long as you pack some bug spray.

Some magnificent photographs today! A cabin with a porch on a clear mountain lake is my idea of paradise. We have few spiders out here in Oregon at this time of year, but if they bother you, try reading “Charlotte’s Web.”
