Chic in Atlanta: Pieces
01 . 16 . 12
I am embarrassed to say that I had never been to Atlanta, Georgia before Americas Mart invited me down to speak. I took the opportunity to stay the weekend and see some sights. At the top was stopping by the store Pieces. I shopped from them online for my bachelor pad project in 2008 and it was fun to see the store in person. Owner Lee Kleinhelter has so much inventory online that I was expecting a larger boutique but she packs a lot into a small space. Lee was unfortunately shopping the Mart so I didn’t get to meet her but I definitely enjoyed my visit. I highly recommend it to any designer visiting Atlanta. Or you could always do what I did and shop online.

I hope to visit this shop soon when I’m the ATL.
I’ve “gone to pieces” over pieces! Love the hits of yellow – been thinking about adding it to my kitchen for a sunny look when waiting for daffodils and tulips to bloom.
This is exactly the kind of store I love to shop in. So many gorgeous items to tempt – the owner obviously has impeccable taste!
Oh my goodness; we have some good independent home shops in the Cotswolds, UK, but that has to be the most gorgeous shop I’ve ever seen!
Beautiful pieces and furniture. Have a wonderful wonderful and successful week Heather
i love this place <3
Lovely — and I love that they have real matches! Not enough matchbooks around these days.
I was just in Atlanta this past weekend..next time, I need to add Pieces to my list of places to shop..thanks for the inspiration..
Such a beautiful store! I really love how it’s styled. Thank you for posting the pictures.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful store Heather! We live in Australia but my husband is in Atlanta for work at present, I will get him to pop in.
What a gorgeous store! Love the gold accents and accessories, the faux bamboo pieces pairing with mirror, and that gilded pagoda mirror.
Thanks for sharing “pieces” with us!
Wow! I love those mirror light fixtures!! I keep reading your blog posts and loving them! Hope you stop by and check out my new blog design, would love to get your opinion!
What a beautiful shop, feels like you could spend hours there! Love the punch of colours.
I’ve got to tell you you did an amazing job w/ your camera!!! So great to meet you…let’s stay in touch. Great talk, so fun! See you soon!
Someone else who loves yellow as much as I do.
Will make a note of the shop. I live north in the mountains, but it would make a great day trip.
What a great little find dahhling!
So lucky to live in Atlanta where I can browse Pieces whenever I like! Such a gem and oh-so-fun to visit! If I won the lottery, I would have Lee decorate my mansion! 🙂
