Yves Saint Laurent Anniversary

When I read that today was the anniversary of the creation of the fashion house of Yves Saint Laurent on 4 December 1961, I knew it would be a great time to post some of my favorite YSL photos.  It wasn’t until I logged in that I realized that my previous post was about his longtime friend and muse Betty Catroux.  Kismet.

Photos from Vanity Fair, Hedi Slimane, Ivan Terestchenko and Christies

What a creative genius he was. Recently watched the documentary ‘L’amour fou’ and how interesting it was to find out a bit more about this great man and his troubled soul. Great compilation of pictures! anastasia at decor is like butter

Heather have you seen L’amour Fou? Every inch of YSL and his partner’s homes were divine. So much attention to detail, so many memories. It’s a very moving documentary-Run Don’t Walk.

    Love the blog as always.

Hi Heather, Thank you for the beautiful testament to YSL and Pierre Berge–lives well lived. And what an auction that was! Have a super week. Mary

Hello Heather! This is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing! I am new to the world of blogging, and am currently working on a post series about a hutch I have transformed to a bar for my home. My blog, http://www.thequeencitystyle.com, is about All things stylish in the Queen City (Charlotte, NC). This bar of YSL is perfectly in step with my story, so I will be making mention of you. Thanks for the great info! Please check out by blog and if you like the subject matter, will you please consider becoming a member? Thanks so much! Whitley Adkins Hamlin
