While the rest of you are hopefully sleeping in on this beautiful Columbus Day, I’m off to Chicago.  I want to thank everyone who sent recommendations and suggestions for the city.  The Architecture Foundation Boat Tour was mentioned by so many that I will definitely try to schedule one during my visit. Danke Schoen!

Enjoy Chicago–one of my favorite cities! I took the Architecture Foundation Boat Tour in August and loved it, a great perspective of the city.

Do the boat tour! The skyline of Chicago boasts generations of famous architects.

Have a fantastic time! I’m from Chicago (now live in Santa Barbara) and agree with the architectural tour. Your other planned stops (Ikram and The Pump Room) are fantastic. If you can make it to the Modern Wing of the Art Institute, I think you’ll be very, very happy!
    Have a wonderful time!
