I’m trying to enjoy my last few days of summer so I’m taking a little time off. Instead of leaving you high and dry, I am reposting one of my favorite summer houses from the Hamptons. (If TV can repeat shows, why can’t I repeat posts?!) The house belongs to Helen Lee and Tim Schifter and was featured in Harper’s Bazaar a few years back. It’s the type of house that most fashion designer probably wish they could be at this weekend instead of preparing for fashion week in the city. Hope the rest of you don’t have to work and can enjoy your Labor Day holiday. Bon weekend!

I fell in love with that feathered Peter Som dress on the Rachel Zoe Project a few years ago! I am so glad to see it off the runway!
I am right with you on this house…it is in my files and I so often refer back to it. The vignette with the shagreen case and the bird print is just stunning and t shows such style and how with a little effort objects can your view on life.
Hi Heather – it is slways a joy to read your blog whether it is a repeat or not. You should probably have a lot more of those days to relax – you work too hard. Have a wonderful Labour Day weekend as I will here in Wasaga Beach,Ontario visiting family.
I LOVE those dark wide plank floors!!! Such a beautiful home.
Love this house. love the kitchen! i know summer is winding down but it gets me excited about fall and cozy dinner parties. speaking of which, on labor day weekend there’s a new entertaining blog about to be launched by sheila mccaffery- a long time creative director in the ad industry! i think you’ll love it!!!
I can’t say enough about white airy spaces. I love the way shadow plays. Great space. Have a great weekend. ~best
