The owl is the symbol of wisdom and judging by the number I saw at the New York International Gift Fair, vendors were smart to include them in their lines. The tray from Simrin above was especially beautiful.
Maybe this owl pencil cup from Design Ideas will bring wisdom at work or school.
Eleven Design Studio was wise to hire native artisans to craft their 100% wool Twoolies. No two are alike and this owl was especially cute.
I really liked this metal owl from HomArt.
Even John Robshaw has an owl pillow in his collection.
This gold owl paper clip from Vagabond Vintage would chic on any desk.
This owl mobile from ige would be perfect for a kid’s room.
Lots of owl pillows were at Room Service.
One of my favorite booths was Donna Wilson from London. This owl pillow is especially sweet and soft.
Donna Wilson also offered an owl cup.
A blue owl pillow at Room Service.
Owl pitchers at Two’s Company.
Jonathan Adler offers a white owl planter. It would look great with green succulents inside.
Fashion designer Jason Wu even got into the act with an owl on the belt that accompanies one of his dresses. Wonder if I can buy that separately. I could always use a little more wisdom.
Love this owl post!! I have always liked owls…and this post does them justice!!
Love to see owls in decor! The pitchers are my favorite. Whooo couldn’t use a little more wisdom? 😉
I just stumbled across your blog and it’s great! I also really love owls–thanks for such a cute post! I just subscribed and I look forward to browsing around your blog more.:) Jen
Great trend-spotting, Heather!! We too are fans of the owl…was especially perfect for our upstate NY project, as featured in TradHome!
I’m a Big Brother junkie and I love the Global Views ceramic owl in the H.O.H. room…maybe I’m a bit obesessed 🙂
Interesting because I have never been a huge Owl person, some of these are very cute though! Love the Adler planter!

I have totally noticed the surge of owls! My daughter pledged Chi O a couple years ago and it seems ever since, owls are everywhere!!
Oh I fear owls, they are so spooky looking, this is one trend I will have to sit out.
Heather, I didn’t notice the owl’s at the gift show, as much as I noticed all the pigs. Vintage Indian textiles and dyed rugs seemed to abound too.
