Eclectic yet Elegant

Even if you don’t know the name Airedelsur, you’ve probably seen their home accessories at places like Barneys and Bergdorfs.  They have a distinctive look which is why I was surprised when I saw the designer’s own home in Buenos Aires.  Marcelo Lucini lives in an apartment that is eclectic yet elegant.  The lack of clutter lets each piece breathe and be seen.  I especially love the Gustavian style chairs in the dining room.  I don’t ever think I’ve seen any upholstered in such dark fabric before and it makes them look very modern.  I’m sure this home won’t appeal to everyone but I think you can definitely appreciate the details. Kind of like Airedelsur itself.

Completely in love with the dining room, kitchen floor, and the bedroom. Love the sprinkling of Fornasetti furniture- especially the house of cards table. Fantastic- thanks for sharing!

I adore airedelsur and am, as you are, surprised at the sleek edginess of this home.
The Argentines have such an eclectic flair, but this space is far more akin to a Parisian pied-a-terre than any apartment I’ve ever visited in Buenos Aires.
Bravo Marcelo for daring to push the limits!

I’m I love with the the way that house is decorated in an organic way, instead of looking like a decorator moved everything in in one day. It’s a home with lots of stories to tell. Great post.

This is one of my favorite apartments! I’ve never seen the bed & bath. Thanks for sharing!

that couch is stunning, and the purple/grey fabric looks so good with the navy of the chairs.

I adore the deep lavender dining room! what an unexpected color for it! Great detail that they painted the trim the same color as the walls – really keeps it from getting to fussy!
