The photo from David Hicks’s London apartment in my last post reminded me that his son Ashley Hicks‘s Oxfordshire home is featured in the new January 2011 issue of World of Interiors magazine. I don’t normally post bathrooms first but since it’s on the cover, I figured it was appropriate. These photos are from the Ashley Hicks website but there are more in the magazine and I highly recommend picking up a copy. It’s so nice to see when I child not only keeps the family business up and running but adds their own touch. Ashley has designed much of the furniture in his own home that is also for sale. Enjoy!

That same design is almost like a stamp! The material on the plush chair mirroring the rug on the floor and the same patterm on the tiles too. What a house full of personality!
The detail on the ceiling in the dining room is simply beautiful!

I love the bathroom with the map behind glass above the tun, just fabulous. Every single room is so charming…makes me want to curl up and read one of those books in his extraordinary library!
Beautiful. David Hicks could be my favorite designer of all times, and what a legacy and talent he passed along to his children. After I saw this post I went to the site and found out that Ashley had done all of the beautiful decorative painting himself!! I am blown away!

Love the whole Hick’s family…I see Ashley hasn’t adopted his father’s or sister’s penchant for uniform color libraries. I love the casual elegance of this house.
