Mix Master
by habituallychic
12 . 03 . 10I came across photos of one of my favorite living rooms recently. I absolutely love the mix of the French style sofa with light wood trim, gilt mirror, shiny black piano, modern Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chaise, and Fortuny lamp. It’s the perfect example of how you shouldn’t be afraid to mix things that you think might not go together. It also makes me want to put an Hermes blanket on my Christmas list! The home was designed by Jennifer Ferreira and was featured in Canadian House & Home. It was fun to look through all the rooms again especially because I didn’t remember seeing her son’s room which is adorable. Enjoy!

Lovely home. I’ve packed my Hermes blanket away, I think it looks such a cliche now.
Oh such a gorgeous home:)
Lovely place and Jennifer is amazing with it. She has an eye for the details and I love the way she really mixes the styles. It’s very elegant.
Talking about elegance… Heidi Klum and Seal just bought a new house in La. You need to take a llo, Heather. I think you’d love the Italian rose gardens.

Love. The settee looks like the one we are getting for our current home project. http://www.i-dream-of.com/2010/11/playing-dress-up.html
I love mixing old and new. Different styles and textures…such fabulous inspiration!
Have a great weekend, Heather.
Gorgeous place, I agree, a mix of classic and modern works best- love the restrained colour palette..
Bon weekend!!
Love how it is simple yet very stunning!
This is one of my favorite homes! All of those different shots have been on my desktop!
I love the mix of the old and new. Black, white, and gold is such an elegant palette. I am also a fan (and have two in our home) of the Chinese garden stools. They are one of my favorite pieces in our home!
