A Rocker’s Retreat
by habituallychic
12 . 05 . 10I forgot that Deborah Needleman’s first Wall Street Journal Magazine was published yesterday. Luckily for me and eveyone else who neglected to pick up the paper, you can read the articles online. One of my favorites is a look inside the London home of gentleman rocker Bryan Ferry. He’s always had an interest in interior design and has furnished his home himself with art and objects that he’s collected. I definitely recommend reading the entire story online as well as Charlotte Moss’s article about Le Prieuré d’Orsan. The issue is so good that I might have to go see if my newsstand has an extra copy lying around.

I love his house and its organic uncontrived glamour.
I’m listening to Olympia right now -old school Roxy Music at their finest.
Thanks for the reminder, Heather! I’ll grab my husband’s copy before it lands in the recycling bin. 🙂 Enjoy your Sunday! -Jeanne
Thanks!!- I completely forgot as well. LOVE Bryan Ferry and his house. Especially the settee with british flag pillow.
Love him and all of the details of his home. Thank you for sharing.
Love it all. Thanks for the reminder. Must tell my husband to save it for me. Hope you are well.
Thanks for posting! I love Bryan Ferry!
I LOVE Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry! He is the epitome of suave, without the sleeze.

I love his use of vintage textiles and the counterpoint of modern and 18th/19th centuries. The space is so visually deep–and the art is amazing. Mary
??? I didn’t imagine him living like that!
