Working at Home

There are so many of us who work from home and have had to carve out space for a desk.  Some are in the living room, others are in the bedroom, and there are a even a few that are in the closet, literally.  Even those who do have work offices have spaces at home for a computer and correspondence.  I especially love fashion designer Michael Bastian’s desk area above.  Enjoy!

Pleased to see that I already had a number of those in my inspiration file.

I always say, it’s best to steal from the best.

What a fabulously inspiring post! Being September I always have the desire for some pretty new pencils anyway (a hangover from school days!) and these beautiful desks make me want to carve out a space in all of my rooms too! I was trying to pick my favorites, and then it just became too many! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. I have to go back and study each one now!

These are amazing! I just saved all the DVF ones for inspiration. I’m reading her book Diane A Signature Life right now and I’m loving it.

Your desk does tell an awful lot about a person.
Organized, staged and the items on view.
    Great insight to someones soul!

There’s nothing like an inviting area to get your work done in. A great selection!

I think I might be the only one to have turned my dining room in to an office. It was the only room in the house we never used.

All these writing tables look great, but I need storage! Filing cabinets and drawers make me turned on. Is there anything that looks as great as these photos but can store all of my paperwork? Because, let’s face it, today’s woman doesn’t just write thank you letters, we work, have kids and lives that overflowing with paperwork, right?
