I’m heading out to the Hamptons again this weekend and wish I was staying at a house this chic! There is nothing that says beach house or summer more than blue and white. This one happens to have been designed by my uber talented interior design friend David Lawrence. It was also featured on the cover and inside the June 2009 issue of House Beautiful. I told you that he was talented! Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to see this post…we just finished installed a blue and white guest room and what until I send you the photos…we have indeed been following each other around out at the end of the island, my dear…

Around 12 years ago I had a lot of customers wanting me to upholster thier sofas in navy blue, to the point where it got kind-of boring. If I had had the slightest inkling blue could look this amazing I may have been more tolerant!!!!
This house is one of my all time favourites.

There truly is something so crisp and tailored about blue and white! And I love that a few of these spaces you’ve shown feature beautiful morrocan-inspired blue and white rugs! Divine.

Such a classic palette. My husband dreams of a nautical styled home – he races on a sailboat here in Kington, ON.
LOVE the big plants…not much of a green thumb but maybe that could be the tradeoff. He could make sure the living decor stays that way 😉
