Bleu et Blanc
by habituallychic
05 . 28 . 10I’m heading out to the Hamptons again this weekend and wish I was staying at a house this chic! There is nothing that says beach house or summer more than blue and white. This one happens to have been designed by my uber talented interior design friend David Lawrence. It was also featured on the cover and inside the June 2009 issue of House Beautiful. I told you that he was talented! Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

So crisp and cool! Have a lovely time this weekend 🙂
I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to see this post…we just finished installed a blue and white guest room and what until I send you the photos…we have indeed been following each other around out at the end of the island, my dear…
Such a great combo. I really love the rugs in each of the rooms.
Around 12 years ago I had a lot of customers wanting me to upholster thier sofas in navy blue, to the point where it got kind-of boring. If I had had the slightest inkling blue could look this amazing I may have been more tolerant!!!!
This house is one of my all time favourites.

This is such an fantastic compilation! I also love the rugs and now very inspired to work more with blue and white!! I work on the beach so it is perfect for my projects. Have a look at some of my work at http://www.oriental-living.net/interior-design-project
Thanks and see you around.
just beautiful. hope you have a fabulous memorial day weekend.
There truly is something so crisp and tailored about blue and white! And I love that a few of these spaces you’ve shown feature beautiful morrocan-inspired blue and white rugs! Divine.

Such a classic palette. My husband dreams of a nautical styled home – he races on a sailboat here in Kington, ON.
LOVE the big plants…not much of a green thumb but maybe that could be the tradeoff. He could make sure the living decor stays that way 😉
Love that image looking down on the staircase and that great rug!
All these designs have a nautical feel!

~Such livable & stylish rooms. His confident use of patterns, solids, colour & contrast is amazing. Victoria Hagan would approve & by the sound of things – so do we!
this is so beautiful.
You just hit my two latest loves, blues and stripes. LOVE!
I think that blue and white is just timeless and always classic- like peanut butter and jelly!
Do you know where I can find a nightstand like the little mirrored one in the last pic? I have been looking all over for something like that for my small bedroom.
very ralph lauren… love the look!
Heather!!!
WHO is sweeter than you! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful home with your readers. And of course thank you for your always kind words 🙂
If you can believe it, this house is even more beautiful in person.
