Chic Advertising

I think it’s funny that Sophia Coppola’s line for Louis Vuitton debuted in March of last year and I’m just now noticing the advertising! I’ve seen a few images here and there and just found all the rest. I love how they don’t hit you over the head with the product. I wish all advertisements were this subtle and seductive. Even though everyone always thinks New Yorkers only wear black, I actually don’t own a black handbag so I am eyeing the black SC duffel bag. Sophia said she wanted to design a day bag that was “chic, discreet and lightweight and that isn’t enormous,” adding that “it is hard to find bag without a lot of hardware.” And unlike Viviana Volpicella, some of can’t fit all our stuff into a clutch in the daytime! Bon Weekend!

As I’m sure you could tell from my blog, this is one of my favorite capsule collections! I adore Sofia and her ability to always look chic and appropriate yet she always retains that relaxed feel which she attributes to her California roots.

beautiful-I love how discreet the bags
are-not stamped w/ LV logos everywhere. The duffel is beautiful-choosing a color would be tough. Happy Weekend.

It definitely looks elegant and versatile, the material is so luxurious too! There’s just something about Sofia that even in minimal makeup and plain jeans she manages to exude grace and style.

Ads by Louis Vuitton (and Marc Jacobs) have always been some of my favorites, for the same reasons you mentioned (and I also love that they’re fun and different). Sofia Coppola is the epitome of chic, and I’ve been dreaming of the SC duffel in blue since I first saw it on garance doré…one of these days!

I’m liking the bag with no LV logo stamped all over it. Very chic, I’m also lovin the shoes.

I love LV when it doesn’t scream LV.

    Lovely!

She’s an interesting person. Has an interesting look. Isn’t Hollywood beautiful, but very European chic and minimalist and that makes her face, her look very unforgettable and VERY attractive. I like that she has worked with what God gave her, instead of doing anything false. Or, at least, that’s how it appears to be. An Anti Heidi Montag person!

It IS so hard to find such minimalist handbag shapes in the right size for daytime. I’ve been confined to banana republic until now! Thank you!

I recently discovered this advertising and referred to it on my blog as well–the sets are so hot.

They are great bags and I love how the ads seem so glam but real.

They have a quiet luxury to them, which I think is rare for new vuitton stuff.
