Perfect Parisian Apartment
by habituallychic
09 . 06 . 09 I didn’t want to leave my loyal readers without any posts during my absence, so I thought this beautiful Parisian apartment would be perfect to post while I was away. It is owned by Mario and Anne Grauso, and was featured in the September 2006 issue of Elle Decor. Mr. Grauso is (or perhaps ‘was’, as there are rumors he has resigned) the President of Puig Fashion Group, which oversees Carolina Herrera and Nina Ricci, among other fashion houses- so it goes without saying that his wife is as impeccably dressed as their chic apartment! It’s located in the Saint Germain area of Paris, which is where we are staying too. Lucky them!

Hope you will come back….perfect apartment and Paris….I think I would not want to rush home, but if that was my apartment, then maybe yes!

Ha! I just happened to line up a few bottles of Pellegrino on my kitchen cabinets today. I was on the fence about whether they looked pretty or stupid, but I like hers in the kitchen, so why not? How timely.
I could cry.
Thank you for this post!
Anna 🙂
Fabulous, I love it! Wish I were there in St Germain!
* Heather~ THANKS! This is by far one of the nicest Paris”palaces” ever~~~ sooooo much more livable (IMHO!) & uncluttered than one often sees. And since I acknowledge “to each his own”, may I just say THIS is more “my own”… very nice!!!
KNOW you’re having the time of your life!!!
Warmly,

It really is perfect!
Wow, how beautiful. There’s so much height in European apartments. Do you have any idea who made the two table lamps with the square black shades on either side of that long wall mirror? Isn’t there a really fantastic lamp manufacturer in Paris somewhere, that makes lamps that look like that?
LOVE it! I particularly love the white molding details and the blue & white toile dining chairs. So lovely.

This apartment is fantastic. I adore the windows and their treatments. The chairs at the end of the bed are a favoriate placement for me. I think I need to look again and again because the details are wonderful.

I saw this apartment featured in International Architecture & Design one day last winter and loved it so much I had to have the magazine right then and there. I am particularly in love with the living room but the whole thing is fantastic 🙂
Love the bathroom sconces.
I’ve always loved that apartment! Hope you had a great trip!
You said it – Definitely the Perfect Parisian Apartment! Warm white, beautiful windows, rich woods… Gorgeous!
So pretty- I had to find this Elle Decor issue to reacquaint myself with it. Thanks, la

this looks like a wonderful apartment.
i hope that you’ll post the photos from hamish bowles’ paris apartment, featured in “world of interiors,” as i am anticipating them with bated breath.
Just beautiful. I am to enthralled with the farmhouse sink, it is just lovely. I’ve been searching for one that will fit my own kitchen sink area.
really, really a fantastic space. i particularly love the hermes orange with the dark leather and I am a sucker for bottles all lined up like that. Really lovely.
love the doors and moldings…that master bedroom is perfect!
I remember this and have saved it in my files as a favorite. I don’t recall seeing the kitchen though and I love that it is so simple!
Your trip sounded wonderful!
Wow. Imagine having that height and light (not to mention taste!) x
