Jazzing Up Jack Rogers

Jack Rogers Navajo sandals have been popular since they were created in the 1960’s especially after Jackie Kennedy was photographed wearing them in Palm Beach and Portofino. To me they have always exemplified summer but now the company is expanding into a full lifestyle brand with shoes and bags that you can wear the entire year! I had the pleasure of visiting their showroom this week and felt like a kid in a candy store! They’ve added heels and wedges to the line up for the ladies who can’t possibly be caught dead in flats and also ballet styles and even boots! I especially love the classic Navajo sandals in exotic skins such as shagreen and crocodile! The completely black pair is also perfect for the city! Eventually, they will also offer ready to wear that you can buy in their own boutiques. I think Jackie would be very pleased!

The young women who shlep around all summer in those horrible dollar store flip-flops should take a long look at these exquisite Jack Rogers Navarjo sandals. Casual, comfortable, tasteful and ladylike are not mutually exclusive at all. So chic and understated.

I think you’re either a Jack Rogers gal or a Steven Bonannos gal. Never the two shall meet!

I loved your beautifully put together post. My two daughters and I are all fans of JR’s but I also love my monogramed Stephen Bonannos too. I’m an equal-opportunity sandal wearer.

Here’s the thing about Jack Rogers sandals- they are returning into favor suddenly with the same velocity as Roger Vivier “Belle du Jour” flats. So what’s the connective tissue?
JACKIE, JACKIE, JACKIE. And that translates into MICHELLE, MICHELLE, MICHELLE.

How refreshing, charming, and uplifting it is to have our First Lady, rather than the Devil Who Wears Prada, set the trends for American fashion! I, for one, couldn’t be more delighted.I’ll take one in every color (but please ship the patent wedges sooner than later!)

Does anyone know where/how to order the high wedges online? I need them for my wedding and can only find the mid wedges which are too low. Can you order through the showroom??

Deborah – they are beauties aren’t they?!

The Preppy Princess – Women wear the flip flops and then change when they get to work but if they just wore jack Rogers, there would be no need to change!

Ivy Lane – Ha! I see the wedges are going to be very popular!

Cathy – I am loving the ones that are more simple now! Very chic for the city!

Constant Buyer – I think they will be in the stores in the next few months.

Pigtown Design – I’ve never seen Bonannos in the Northeast. Maybe they are more Southern. I have only ever worn Jack Rogers.

    Aileen – very cute!

Carolina – I think you are going to love all the new styles from Jack Rogers! I love the flats!

Vicki – Those are jelly sandals and actually really cute! They reminded me of some Chanel sandals I saw recently too!

    Keith – thanks!

Style Chronicle – I may have to put my Viviers on hold for a while and go back to my Jack Rogers now!

Shoe Horse – I wouldn’t say that are coming back into favor. For me, they never left. They just happen to be expanding on the brand but perhaps there is some connection. You never know!

Antiques Diva – That is funny! I swear you are going to die when you see the shagreen sandals!

Karena – If you can’t find them in KC, you can always order them online.

Kate – I would call the website first. If that doesn’t work, email me and I will forward you to the right people.

The Navajo sandal and it’s origin is such a popular blogging topic! They are an iconic design, I love the new ballet flats, I’ll definitely have to look into those!
