While I was looking through designer Meg Braff‘s portfolio, I came across the most perfect East Hampton home. I love the patterns and shades of blue she used throughout all the spaces. The mudroom is my favorite room and pretty much sums up the feeling of this chic weekend home. I can also imagine how much fun the family who owns it will probably have over the long holiday weekend. I hope all of you l have a wonderful Independence Day no matter where you spend it!

Meg Braff is one of our favorites. We love her fresh use of blue and white. Those club chairs by the fireplace are amazing.

Mmm pretty, but it’s all a little too matchy matchy. She could have had more fun w/ the color palette and thrown in an accent to break up all that blue!

Yes this is my idea of the perfect decor for a beach house anywhere. I do love the Hamptons. My grandparents bought a house there in the late 1940’s and it was always they place we went back to between my father’s military postings. She died in 1987 and my parents sold the house. My aunt lives in Wainscott and I just went to visit her last month. There’s something about that area that is magical and no because of all the NY swells. I love the weather, the smell of the ocean and the cedar shingles, the color of the sky, well all of it. Maybe it’s nostalgia as well. My boy cousins and I used to run like hooligans on our summer vacations there. I love it but alas I’m stuck in the midwest with little hope of being able to visit very often! Beautiful pics.
