J.Crew Fall 2009
07 . 16 . 09
The weather in New York has has been feeling a little like Fall lately which makes me think about what I will be wearing soon. Jenna Lyons was interviewed by the Los Angeles Times recently about the success and popularity of J.Crew and also her inspirations. For Fall 2009, she imagined what it would be like if opera star Maria Callas, model Lauren Hutton and socialite Slim Keith shared one closet. The resulting collection is a mix of glamour pieces and sportswear made up of denim, lace, feathers, cashmere and jewels. I know which items I’m eyeing but the bigger question is which ones the first lady will be wearing this fall! Better get there before she does and they all sell out! Happy Shopping!
I love that trench! It does seem like the collection was designed with Michelle Obama in mind.
love the mix of textures and patterns, can’t wait to see it in the stores!
That outfit in the last pic is seriously GORGEOUS!!! Want all of it! Great collection, and why don’t we have J.Crew in Norway???
LOVE IT! i’m so obsessed with j crew…can’t wait for the Fall pieces!
clothes like this make me miss fall, especially that trench. (we don’t have fall…) j.crew has been doing some good stuff lately.
Love the last oic….what a cute get up!!
you had me at fall.
J.Crew is fabulous! My pocketbook will be in trouble come fall…
These are great ~ I have to check them out.
J Crew should certainly thank Michelle Obama for wearing and mentioning J Crew, she brings class and sophistication to the brand . Oh, yes and Lauren Hutton doesn’t look bad either. Slim Keith & Maria Callas. Thank God designers were inspired by successful, elegant women over the age of 25-Its about time.
Seriously JCrew, when will you open some stores in Canada? Even Anthro is here now. I’m tired of Banana Republic and Club Monaco. Please come to Canada.
P.S. I know they ship there but I want to be able to try before I buy.
What a gorgeous collection–I love the textures and colors! Fall clothes are my absolute favorites, and this has me really looking forward to it 🙂
I am so excited for this collection! It looks amazing…everything Jenna Lyons does is incredible. I loved her brownstone in Domino.
Aren’t you amazed that no other line has figured this out before? The article in the LA Times was a great peek into the world and how Jenna got JCrew’s groove back.
That CEO is one smart cookie for seeing that she had “it” and giving her free reign into developing a super chic brand. They are my go-to place for the past few years.
