The Kips Bay Decorator Show House just announced two special events that I know everyone will be interested in attending!
Tuesday, April 21st
3:30 – 4:30pm
Albert Hadley Book Signing
Design legend Albert Hadley will be signing copies of his books The Story of America’s Preeminent Interior Designer and Albert Hadley: Drawings and Design Process. If you don’t have the latter, I know they recently had copies available at the New York School of Interior Design.
Tuesday, May 5th
3:30 – 4:30pm
What Can We Learn From Decorator Books?
A panel discussion with Jeffrey Bilhuber, Jamie Drake, Juan Montoya, Ann Pyne & Bunny Williams. Moderated by Annie Kelly.
The book signing and panel discussion will take place at the Show House and are included in Show House admission.

After all the great pictures and commentary you posted on our blog I decided to go to the Kips Bay Decorator Show House yesterday and boy, am I glad I did! There really is so much to see and it’s fun to speak with the designers of the rooms.

I loved the Albert Hadley book. How wonderful that Mr. Hadley gets the praise and the love while he is still with us. Enjoy every minute of these two wonderful events and then tell all of us stuck out in the hinterlands how wonderful it was.

Kris – I am so glad that you got to see the house in person! I wonder how many days the designers will be on site. The show house runs for a month and they must have tons of work back at the office! I have a friend who is volunteering for one of them.
Love Where You Live – Since you can’t, I’m glad I can bring the house to you!
Susan – I didn’t go to the booksigning for fear that Mr. Hadley would think I was stalking him so don’t feel too bad!
Home Before Dark – I am definitely looking forward to the lecture!
