Dear Mother Nature,

We know that you are terribly busy and we hate to bother you but we’d like to remind you that it’s officially spring now. We’re well into April and this cold and rainy weather is a bit much. Oh, and you remember the snow this week…not funny! Not funny at all! Last spring was so beautiful! What happened?! I know I speak for everyone when I say that we could all use some cheerful sunshine and warmth right about now. Please. Pretty please!

Sincerely,

New York City

Amen! Up in Wisconsin there used to be a saying…thirty days have September, April, June and November, all the rest have thirty one…except February which is ENDLESS. Now it is April. Ick.

BUT, watching The Masters on TV yesterday reminded me it is glorious Spring somewhere and it is on its way…

The weather may be dreary but at least you got a sublime photo out of it. Great shot!

Well, maybe some people are depressed by cold/damp/foggy/rainy days–here in Chicago, my pals are all whining because it’s 38 & drizzling and it’s supposed to be the Cubs’ home opener–but I’d rather have a day like this than one of our hotter-than-hell summer days. Then again, I don’t have tickets to today’s game. At any rate, that’s a great picture. Wish I were there.

I made the mistake of picking my daughter up from the bus stop in my flip flops. It is cold here in Maryland too and we are so ready for the warm weather to arrive!
