Historic Racing Club
by habituallychic
03 . 15 . 09I have a friend who’s dream it is to drive around Europe in a classic car so the Historic Racing Club seems perfect for him! Each year, they drive vintage cars around “the breathtaking landscape that surrounds Gardone Riviera and Mantua” Italy. This year the race takes place April 16-19 and is only open to cars built before 1963. I wonder how you call shotgun in Italian!

Thanks ML! The race is actually taking place over my birthday weekend! I wish I knew someone who had a car in Italy and wanted to participate. It looks like lots of fun and a great way to see Italy! Ciao!
Italy – not a bad place for a race – he will/would enjoy it,(and what about driving a 1956 Jaguar Roadster?)…Well, or try to get an Alfa Romeo “Spider” it is the official summer car in Italy – he could fine one made before -63 and/or maybe rent one – it is Italy.
This sounds (and look) like a lot of fun…and it’s so CHIC 🙂 Thanks for the post.
This is fabulous!

I have a new dream!!!!! How fabulous!

I already have a vintage silk scarf to cover my head and sunglasses to shield my eyes. I now need to start smoking and hone my stick shifting skills…it is going to be so worth it all.

wow, i’m not a car person per say, but I want one of each!
Sounds amazing to me…these cars are so chic.
Best,
Julie

That is a lovely dream. May I borrow it? I promise to give it back, only slightly used!
I wonder how you call shotgun in Italian!
shot-a-gunn-o! (with expressive hand gesture of course).

I have great memories of a Summer in Spain where I was driving (in the passenger seat) in a vintage convertible Carrera. Oh fun days…
I love these cars!
