It was 46 degrees this morning and it got me thinking about all the great indoor activities available in New York and museums are at the top! One of the new exhibits that I am excited to see is Van Gogh and the Colors of the Night at The Museum of Modern Art. It looks fabulous!

“It often seems to me that the night is much more alive and richly colored than the day.” – Vincent van Gogh, September 8, 1888

absolutely one of my favorite artists, for such a quiet and introverted artist his paintings scream life, movement and passion. i bet he was interesting to sit down and have a beer with!

My fondest memory was when one of my sons came home from kindergarten – art class and learned all about van Gogh and wanted to know if we were related, we do have the “van” – just not the Gogh.
I have always loved his work and his story.
Going to see it with my children!

Beautiful! It is awe-inspiring to go see an exhibition like this. Last summer, I went to see the Monet exhibit with my parents..it was absolutely wonderful. Amazing to see the different “periods” a famed artist goes through as they travel throug life.

I absolutely adore Van Gogh and these pictures are so so beautiful. I especially love the second one. So inspiring! I used to paint… I wish I could feel the inspiration again.

I love your blog. I needed a little “non-economy-related” imagery and this just did the trick!
