The Book of Decorating
by habituallychic
10 . 09 . 08I received my advance copy of The Book of Decorating from Domino yesterday and I definitely think everyone will love it! There are tons of great interiors from the magazine all in one place now and many new fabulous designs too. The Decorator’s Handbook in the back is the perfect reference guide for the average homeowner who wants to learn how to do it themselves but also a nice refresher for the professional.
Even better is that the launch party for the Book of Decorating is open to the public! Stop by The Conran Shop, 407 East 59th Street, on Wednesday, October 15 from 6:00-8:00pm for chic cocktails, conversation, discounts, and prizes! See you there!

Thanks for the sneak peak. Enjoy the party!
I can’t wait to receive my copy. I have tagged you today so please play along if you can. xv
I cannot wait to get it!!!! I love your blog. Regards from Chicago, Mar Tenas
Would this be a good book to buy to help me decorate the new (smaller) home I’m moving into at the end of the month? It’s a 1950s 1400 sq. ft. bungalow and I’m a bit depressed to have to move into a smaller home. It needs updating and I like the mid-century style, so I’m hoping I can decorate it so I will enjoy living there. The page on window treatments looks interesting.
I can’t wait. Do you know not one bookstore in Delaware has the October copy of Domino? Only September. Still. Hope this does not imply there is a problem…
Vicki – I am usually bad at playing along so I will see what I can do! Thanks for the tag!
Brilliant Asylum – too bad you won’t be in NYC next week! There are a ton of great parties!
Thanks Mar! I think you will love the book!
Jeanne – maybe you should take a look at it in the bookstore or on Amazon first. They have more photos on their site. But I think it might be helpful.
Looking forward to grabbing a copy!
I ordered it yesterday. 🙂
