French Flea Market Finds

I love the flea market hunt as much as the finds which is probably why I love Vintage French Interiors: Inspiration from the Antique Shops and Flea Markets of France by Sebastian Siraudeau. Although, the name is a little bit of a misnomer since the interiors in question are of the shops and markets rather than French homes but no matter. It’s a treasure trove of vintage sources and inspiring vingettes that I guarantee you will be drooling over. It’s actually so fantastic that it might have you hopping on the next flight to Paris! Bon voyage!

Thanks for the book recommendation. i also thoroughly enjoyed your blog. I just got back from shopping in Europe. I covered the huge antiques fairs at Swinderby and Newark in England and then on to the Paris flea markets. My eyes lit up in Paris. There is something different about the merchandise, the food, the attitude and lifestyle of the people, and the level of fashion and refinement. I went with the people at http://www.EuropeAntiqueTrip.com Having thier guidance was really so so worthwhile. I would have just gone to the big popular tourist markets, but I got a chance to see where the retail sellers get thier stuff! I brought back some treasures that i may never part with even though I am a dealer/reseller. Here,s a tip for the most fabulous decorated Paris apartment in the world. Go to the website for Maxim’s of Paris. Click to the Museum page. Click on the 360 degree video. WOW it is fantastic. Also check out the Sarah Bernhardt suite in thier hotel. Happy decorating!! Felicia
