And one to grow on…
by habituallychic
04 . 19 . 08Sorry I’ve been MIA for the last few days. My cable and internet were out all night Thursday and today I’ve been traveling around the eastern seaboard thanks to USAirways. Probably not the best idea to travel on your actual birthday. (Remind me to tell you that story later!) I also know that I said I wanted to spend my birthday in Paris but it just didn’t seem like a good time with the terrible exchange rate and my starting my new job so I’m spending it Pennsylvania with my family and friends.
I’m too tired to eat cake tonight so we’re saving it for tomorrow so I can blow out my candles, including “one to grow on.” (Don’t even think of asking how many!) I’m not sure what I’m going to wish for yet but I’m sure I’ll think of something good. But I can’t tell you or else it won’t come true!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I hope you have a very happy birthday, Heather! Love the photo and could really relate. Your dress looks just like those I used to wear and the cake is identical to the one at my 3rd birthday. Ah, the good ole days.
Happy birthday — hope this coming year is a great one!
Hope you had a wonderfully happy birthday! Enjoy that cake.:)
Happy belated, lady! I hope it was a good one, despite the traveling 😉
happy birthday…wonder and joy for the coming year; and your wishes coming true too!
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday! Is that you in that picture?! What an adorable little girl!
happy birthday! xoxo
You’re right – the exchange rate stinks at the moment against the euro. Don’t let that stop you though. If you haven’t been to Paris, it’s the most incredible city on the planet and you have to check it out. I lived on and off in New York for years and always thought of it as the center of the universe but I have to tell you, Paris is a place like non other. I lived there for three years, working in fashion as well, and it is definitely somewhere you have to go. I was there just last summer (honeymoon – second time around) and I picked Paris because it is the coolest and most romantic place on earth. You can rent an apartment from a woman named Isabelle (www.apartment-in-france.com) which enables you to have a lot of your meals at home, and buy your own wine by the bottle. It cuts down on expenses and saves money for splurging at dinner. You can walk almost anywhere, or ride bikes that are rented on the street in any neighborhood. Anyway – sorry to ramble. I just know Paris would blow you away!
Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! The girl in the photo is me. I was trying to count how many candles were on the cake to see how old I was but I’m not sure. I think I might have been five. I definitely remember that crown though! As an only child, birthdays were a big day…and they still are 😉
That photo is ADORABLE! Hope you’re having a nice birthday with your family Heather. And best wishes for the year ahead.
You are the cutest, and look at that fancy cake! Happy Birthday!
Hope you had a great birthday celebration.
happy birthday!
