Working Girl

03 . 31 . 08Just a little update to let you know I’m starting a new position with another top New York City interior designer on Monday. I will do my best to keep up with my posting during my first week but just in case I can’t, I hope you’ll excuse me. I’m want to wait until I get settled before I announce who I’m working for but I am excited that they know about my blog so down the road, I will be able to write about the projects I’m working on and what really goes on behind the scenes at a design firm!

Can you tell us who it is? I worked for a top interior designer as well…and well, I’m really curious if it is the same designer. Because if it is….I have some things to share!!!!
good luck…hope it is a wonderful experience!
Break a leg!
Good Luck! I’m new to your site, but i’m already a huge fan. Happy for your new opportunities, sad tha you’ll be posting less.
Erin, I plan to get settled first before I announce who it is but they do know about my blog so I am excited to write about what we’re working on at some point down the road.
Thanks Rita! I hope so too!
Tha Quarter Rat, Fun name! Thanks!
ELG, I might just be posting less for the first week. I’m sure my new job will give me plenty of ideas to write about soon!
Good luck! I’m so very jealous of you – since my career is full of stress and agony and has absolutely no redeeming qualities, I’m always envious of those who are working in a field they enjoy.
Congratulations on your new position! How exciting for you. Happy Monday!!
That is beyond excellent! Best of luck to you!
Congratulations!!! I’m sure you will love it! Can’t wait to hear more about the job and projects.
Post more “sneak peaks” of your apt. soon, since you spruced it up for photos. (I’m guessing for your portofolio? – I’ve done the same thing!)
Good luck! Love the quote, writing that one down. Can’t wait to hear your report.
Congratulations and best wishes!!!
Ha ha! I completely relate to Cultivated Chic (I could have written same post word for word)!
HC, rooting for you and look forward to your future posts!

HURRAH! I wish I worked for a decorator, or was a decorator. If I could only find that first client! Oh, well.
Congrats & best of luck to you in your new job! Can’t wait to hear about all of the exciting projects you’ll soon be working on!
Congratulations HC, looks like you’re already accomplishing one of your goals this year! Good for you!
Thanks everyone! I survived my first day! It was actually an easy transition since I already know what I’m doing for the most part. They are much more organized and professional than my last firm which was one of the reasons I liked them. I might also be heading out to the Hamptons this week to check on a project. Woo hoo!
And to Cultivated Chic and Kate, it’s never too late to change careers! Julia Child didn’t learn to cook until she was 37 years old! So carpe diem! Keep your boring day job to pay the bills while you persue your passion at night. Just do it!
Fantastic, congratulations! Can’t wait to hear who it is and how its all going for you. You deserve the best of luck for perservering. Looks like it will be a good year for you!
Glad to hear the first day went well! (Inspiring fact about Julia Child, by the way)
What really goes on behind the scenes? Hmmm… would that include double-billing clients, vendor kick-backs,rigged contractor bidding? If so, I can’t wait!!
Congrats! So glad you finally found something new! I hope it’s exciting and challenging!
How freaking exciting!! Congratulations! I can’t wait to see postings on your future projects!
Well, the job sounds really great. I am super excited for you and super excited to see some of your work on your blog!
