Habitually Chic Place to Eat: Freemans
by habituallychic
11 . 03 . 07It’s finally getting chillly in New York and for me that means it’s time to start frequenting my favorite cold weather places. I’m obsessed with decor as much as cuisine when I go out and I love the lodge-like feel and comfort food at Freemans. Tucked away at the end of a little alley, you feel like you’ve stepped out of the city for a night. The restaurant is a charming delight of warm and cozy little rooms. The taxidermy heads may not sit well with PETA but it reminds me of an old fashioned English pub. Just make sure you get there early since they don’t take reservations but this hidden hideaway is worth the wait.

Hi, this is my first visit to your blog and I loved it. You really have some great photography on it. Thanks for the tip on Freeman’s I will have to check that out.
It looks adorable, what a nice find. What’s your fav dish?
Hi DFP, so glad you like my blog. One of my goals was to highlight excellent photography as well as art and design. It was very important to me that it look aestheticly pleasing and be interesting to read.
Lissa, it may sound weird but the brussell sprouts at Freemans are the best I’ve ever had!
Wow, this looks like a really cozy place. I’d love to go there, and just might, next time I come in. Thanks for the tip! Also really enjoy your blog.
Looks amazing!
This is on my list of restaurants to visit, so you’ve made me even more anxious to go!
I love Freeman’s! I used to eat there a good bit when I lived in the city. Their brunch is amazing – and very well priced.
It looks so cosy . But what is the address ???
