Coats for Colder Weather from Saks

I bought two coats in July but if you have procrastinated and don’t have the right winter coat yet, Saks has you covered with hundreds of styles. I put together 15 of the chicest options inspired by Gwyneth Paltrow’s on and off screen coat wardrobe.

You can also save 30% of select pieces during the Fall Sale.

My go-to coat color every fall and winter is grey, I think it’s less harsh than black and looks flattering with my honey-caramel hair color but it also looks great on blondes and brunettes.

Róhe is a new to me designer but I love this Double-Breasted Wool-Blend Coat. This style would work well with dresses and trouser outfits.

A lot of you asked me for shorter coat suggestions and this Oversized Wool Tweed Peacoat is a great option.

The charcoal grey Long Wool Double Car Coat is great for work to weekend.

Last year, I bought a microcheck coat and I love how it adds a little more interest to my monochromatic outfits.

The first Reversible Microcheck Coat is two coats in one since it reverses to plain grey. This would be great to take on a trip so you can have two coat options in one. There is also a Reversible Microcheck Coat with a fur collar too.

I bought a Weekend Max Mara coat last fall too that I love. The plaid Weekend Max Mara Mix Media Trench Coat has cool knit sleeves which you don’t see very often.

If you live in a wet climate this Lacquered Tweed Coat gives you the look of a wool coat and the practicality of a raincoat.

As we head into holiday party season, you will need a black coat for going out.

The good thing about the first Black Wool Coat is that it’s lined and not double faced wool.

The black Long Sequin Wrap Coat will add some pizzazz to your outfit and the best part is that it’s included in the Fall Sale.

The final black Wool Coat also comes in a dark midnight blue color which is also nice for going out.

Even though it feels like it’s staying warmer longer, the weather always turns arctic in January which is when you will need something warmer like shearling.

A coat for the cool girls is the Toteme Signature Shearling Jacket that would be chic with jeans and ankle boots.

My favorite that I might have to think about getting is the Loulou Studio Alabat Shearling Coat in a versatile brown color.

The army green Faux-Suede Sherpa Jacket is also part of the Fall Sale.

When the weather gets cold and dry, I love adding some color to my grey outfits.

Red is the hot call for fall so I highly recommend this red Wool-Blend Belted Coat that would look great over any color outfit.

If you want to add a little color and pattern, I love the Jacquard Wool-Blend Coat.

This fuchsia Belted Wool Long Coat would be flattering on anyone. I’d pair it with grey or navy.

Hope you find your new fall/winter coat at Saks.

XOXO,

HC
