My Visit to J.K. Place Paris Hotel

Nondescript hotel decor that doesn’t reflect the city in which you are staying is anathema to me. Luckily, that definitely does not describe the J.K. Hotel Paris. I’ve been aware of the hotel since before it opened but I’m so glad I stopped by to see my friend Callie Stanton who was staying at the hotel in April. The hotel was designed by famed Italian interior designer and architect Michele Bonan so you feel like you are stepping into a very chic hôtel particulier instead of an actual hotel. You can even buy some of the furniture through his website. What was amazing to me was the amount of public rooms on the ground floor for a place with only 29 rooms. You can sit and hang out for a drink or take a meeting without feeling like you are on top of other guests. They also have a wonderful Italian restaurant Casa Tua which you might know from Miami and Aspen. But of course, good design is nothing if the service isn’t good and Callie and a few people I spoke to said it was impeccable. It’s also located on the Left Bank which gives you a much more local feeling than the touristy right bank. Tuck your hair into your coat and pretend you are a chic Parisian woman during your stay.
