James Mackie’s Cotswold Cottage
by habituallychic
11 . 10 . 21When I saw this 17th-century Cotswold cottage of former Sotheby’s specialist and now interior designer James Mackie in House and Garden, I thought it looked familiar. Then I realized it was because I was following James on Instagram. My favorite accounts to follow are those in Europe and especially England since country living it’s such a different way of life than living in New York City. James found the cottage 2016 and lives there with his partner Arthur Parkinson who tends the garden and arranges the beautiful flower arrangements in the house. The place became a respite during the pandemic and a full time location rather than just a weekend house and it’s easy to see why.
