I’ve always loved the French phrase la rentrée which means the reentry. It encompasses back to school and back to work as everyone returns from their August holidays and tries to get back on track. They’ve already come back but as Americans go back to school and work after this long Labor Day weekend, it’s a time to get excited about sweater weather, camel coats, leaf peeping, and bouquets of sharpened pencils, and other autumn favorites.
