Beautiful in Bridgehampton

I told this story but it bears repeating. Interior designer David Lawrence of Carlos David and I worked for the same interior designer but not at the same time. He had gone out on his own by the time I arrived and one of his projects in Bridgehampton was published on the cover and featured inside House Beautiful magazine. I posted it on the blog and that’s how we ended up meeting so it was a full circle moment when he asked me last summer if I would help style the house for a photoshoot with his partner in life and business, architect Carlos Garciavelez. The resulting photos have just been published in the September issue of Hamptons Cottage & Gardens.

This Hamptons home belongs to Nancy McCormick and her family. You may remember that the Carlos David firm also decorated her townhouse in the city that was featured on ArchitecturalDigest.com earlier this year. Nancy and David are old friends so she was the first person she called after a pipe burst and flooded the house. What started out as a disaster turned into an opportunity to renovate and refresh the interiors. The crisp blue and white summer beach interiors evolved into a sophisticated decor perfect for year round living.

If you haven’t realized it yet, you are going to be seeing a lot more from the talented design dup Carlos David and this is just the tip of the chic iceberg.
