What I Bought Myself Recently
by habituallychic
01 . 02 . 21I’ve had a few people ask for a post of what I bought myself recently and I finally had time to put it together. Some things were Christmas presents to myself and others were items I picked up and ordered in the last few months.
While upstate visiting The Mayflower Inn, I bought this Houdini Cloud Coat at Westerlind. I won’t be able to wear it during the dead of winter but I think it’s going to be perfect for walking in Central Park in early spring, It snaps along the sides and under the arms so it’s convertible. Unfortunately, they don’t give photos or directions on how to convert it so I just plan to wear it as is and lucky for you, it’s on sale now.
I had a gift card to J.McLaughlin so I used it to buy this Grey Cashmere Sweater when it went on sale. It’s very thick and luxurious for winter.
Unfortunately, these grey Wide Leg Flannel Pull On Pants were too big and they didn’t have a smaller size although I still keep checking. They would be great for overnight flights when we’re able to travel to Europe again.
I love the Ugg Quincy Boots I bought last year because they are incredibly warm and comfortable but they are only water resistant. So, I bought these Waterproof Sorel Shearling Trimmed Lace Up Boots for the next snow storm. They’re also available in three other colors.
I saw this blue Mark Cross Crossbody Bag in Nantucket and bought it for myself for Christmas the minute it went on sale. The strap is a little too short to wear with winter coats but it will be perfect with all my summer dresses.
After watching Hillary Kerr tout the benefits her Apple Watch and how it helped her workout every day in a row, I bought myself the 40mm Gold Stainless Steel Apple Watch with Gold Milanese Strap for Christmas. I can attest that it really does get you to move and workout in order to close your workout rings. The Stand Up reminder is especially helpful for when I’m in the zone working and need to get up and stretch. It can also tell when you are washing your hands and will count down from 20 seconds so you know how long you need to wash them. It also also track your monthly cycle and call for help if it detects a hard fall. A hiker fell recently and couldn’t call for help because he dropped his phone. I couldn’t help but think that he could have been found earlier if he been wearing the Apple Watch. I resisted buying one for a long time but now I see all the benefits, especially during a pandemic.
I bought these Indoor Sherpa Slippers in beige and black but they sold out very quickly. The new dark taupe color has all sizes available now if you missed out before. I wear a size 7 and the medium is perfect on me.
Since I can’t go for facials this winter, I bought this Ionic Facial Steamer. it’s currently 50% off with the code HELLO2021.
As soon as Chrissy Teigen professed her love for Le Prunier Plum Beauty Oil, I placed an order but so did thousands of her followers. I was lucky enough to be sent a bottle which arrived well before my order so I’ve been using it for a few weeks. I usually don’t like facial oils because they break my skin out but not only is this oil incredibly hydrating but actually also helped clear up my maskne. I use it in the morning and my skin has looked great every day. I can honestly say it’s worth the wait.
Happy New Year!
XOXO,
