Today was a busy beauty filled day. It started with a fall press preview at Hermes filled with gorgeous things as you can probably imagine. Some pieces will start hitting stores in June. Afterward, I walked to the David Zwirner gallery to see the Joan Mitchell show. It’s was insanely beautiful. I really need to make time to finally read Joan Mitchell: Lady Painter. My last stop of the day was at the Plain English showroom on East 10th Street to attend a tea party thrown by potter Frances Palmer. The event was to celebrate her new Cirrus Collection of tabletop dishes manufactured by 1882 Ltd. in white creamware. Not only did Frances design this beautiful collection but she also made the vases in which she arranged flowers she grew herself. She also hand-made all the pedestals for the cakes, cookies and tea sandwiches that she made for the party. If that isn’t enough, Frances takes her own photos of all her work and photographed the showroom before we all arrived. I’m tired just thinking about everything does but you know what they say, when you love what you do, it never feels like work.

N.B. The Teff Gluten Free Carrot Cake she made was the most amazing gluten free food I’ve ever eaten. I’ve linked to the recipe that you must make this weekend. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
