The Chicest Apartment by Michael S. Smith

I feel like it’s interior designer Michael S. Smith‘s world and we’re just living in it this month. A stunning apartment he designed with architect Oscar Shamamian of Ferguson & Shamamian in a Rosario Candela designed building on Park Avenue is featured on the cover and inside the new October 2018 issue of Architectural Digest. He’s also having two auctions at Christie’s this month. One in London that happens tomorrow and one in New York later this month. I just received the catalogs yesterday and I can’t wait to preview the New York auction of pieces from two homes in Los Angeles and one in New York next week. He’s also gut renovating The House on Mapleton Drive and chronicling the process on his website. I’m not a modernist at all but I loved that house and this change makes me a little nervous, although I’m sure it will be amazing in the end. You can see the house before photos in this post. Michael S. Smith is one busy man.
