Carolina Herrera at Home

The first part of New York fashion week highlights younger and emerging designers while the second half of the schedule is dedicated to the larger more established fashion houses. Carolina Herrera, with Wes Gordon at the helm, kicks things off Monday morning at the New York Historical Society. You should be able to watch the show live online.

In addition to her fashions, I also love Carolina Herrera’s Upper East Side home. I posted it eight years ago and it still looks just as chic today. Unlike so many people who redecorate their homes just to be able to have them photographed for more magazines, the truly elegant decorate once with just a little refreshing here and there. Since my first post, I found some new photos from InStyle and from a Carolina Herrera bridal collection photos taken at the townhouse. While the red damask room and toile bedroom are the most widely seen rooms, it’s the pale green dining room that is my favorite. I can just imagine the silver and china flicking in candlelight during a dinner party while guests are wearing Carolina Herrera of course.
