I always liked clients who had some antiques and family heirlooms. They gave me a good jumping off point and always added a lovely personal touch to their interiors. Catherine Casteel Olasky and Maximilian P. Sinsteden of Olasky & Sinsteden didn’t just have a few pieces to work with from one of their clients but 60 years of collected possessions. The older gentleman client in question had spent 30 of those years living part of the year in his house on Guernsey in the Channel Islands which sit between French coast of Normandy and southern England. The team set about refreshing many of the furnishings and the house itself to create a cohesive whole that looks like it could have been that way forever.
