Southern Christmas

Last December, my friend Dina and I visited Charleston, South Carolina. It was fun to see how the South decorates for Christmas. I love how they turn dried fruits into ornaments and garlands. No where was this more beautifully done that at the Joseph Manigault House from 1803. I really wanted to dry orange slices for my tree this year but didn’t get around to it although I do have a few more days left.
Merry Christmas!
XOXO,
HC

Having lived in NYC for the 1st 20 years of my life, I am too curious not to ask this question…. using food for ornaments s and keeping items with food on them them “out”, doesn’t flirt with bug problems? I know my mom and my grandma were meticulous about putting food away and cleaning up crumbs etc ( and now I am 🙂 ). Inquiring minds want to know!!!
