It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

Veranda is one of the only magazines, if not the only one, to feature homes decorated for Christmas each year. I love seeing all the beautiful holiday decor in elegant interiors especially this one by Alidad in London. Of course, it helps to have rich red rooms as a backdrop but amaryllis and fruits would look great in any style home. Pomanders, clove studded oranges, are one of my favorite things to make for the holidays but I might also try to dry orange slices for my tree like they do in the South. It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Love, love LOVE this! What incredible painting in the dining room. Alidad does it again. And thanks for posting such a beautiful pre-holiday vision.
What a feast for the eyes! And how lovely to see something in London that has not been striped of its soul and turned into a minimalist modern monstrosity.
Heaven must be a lot like this. Stunning. Tapestries, huge mirrors, paintings, screens, hand painted everything – comfort everywhere – candles, crystal, marble, needlepoint – oh my. Thank you for this feast for the senses.
