Sag Harbor Secret Revealed

I photograph this house in Sag Harbor on every visit to the harbor town. In fact, the first three photos in this post are ones I took on three different trips. I love the grey color and the Porsche convertible that is always sitting in the driveway. I happened to click on a photo on Pinterest this weekend and the secret of who owns the house and what it looks like inside was revealed on Architectural Digest who featured the home in their March 2008 issue. The house is owned by California based interior designer Michael Lee (his website isn’t working) and his friends Alex and Sue Glasscock. It’s a little weird that people from the West Coast would buy a house all the way on the other end of the country in a town that most people visit on summer weekends but I guess they manage to visit quite often. Although, I’m wondering for myself if they rent it out when they aren’t in residence.

Looks like the kind of house Edward Hopper liked to paint.
