Even if you’ve never been to Petersham Nurseries, chances are that you’ve heard of it. It was bought the by Gael and Francesco Boglione after Mick Jagger suggested they see the property. I’ve never seen photos of Petersham House until I opened the January 2017 issue of World of Interiors. I was wondering why it didn’t look like the typical English manor house filled to the brim with art and antiques. This was addressed by Gael in another article in Vogue Living Australia, “I never thought of decorating it as such, it was more a question of undecorating it. When we first visited this house several years ago, there were so many swags and metres of fabric, you could barely see outside the windows.” I think I’m going to do a little undecorating and decluttering now that the holidays are over.
