The color that I kept seeing all over Italy during my fall 2015 trip was green. So it’s no wonder that Sawyer Berson‘s Italian inspired Petit Salon at the 2016 Kips Bay Decorator Show House is also green. It’s a nod to infinitely inspiring Villa Necchi in Milan which I also visited during my travels. The green Venetian plaster walls and terrazzo floors anchor the space with the 17th-century Andrea Vaccaro painting from Otto Naumann as the focal point. All the colors of the room come from the multi-colored terrazzo floor from Durite and include a custom gold armless sofa and ivory chair upholstered in Holland & Sherry fabric, and a Jacques Adnet parchment coffee table from Bernd Goeckler. It’s just like visiting Italy without taking a flight. Make sure you visit the Kips Bay Decorator Show House before it closes on June 9, 2016.
