While I’m in the Hamptons, it feels like everyone else I follow on Instagram is in Italy right now. Some are on holiday but most are in Florence for Pitti Uomo, the most important menswear tradeshow on the calendar each year. It’s a chance for the men to have their day in the sun and strut their stuff. The fact that they’re wearing full suits in 80 degree temperatures is just as impressive as how chic they look. But perhaps not wearing socks is the key.

N.B. I’ve been accused of being a smoker because I post photos of people smoking. For the record, I do not smoke and do not recommend it but many Europeans smoke.  I wouldn’t be able to post any style photos from Pitti Uomo if I excluded those who were smoking. To each his own.
