Peter’s New Perch

The May 2015 issue of Vogue has a lovely feature on fashion designer Peter Copping who took over the helm at Oscar de la Renta last year. Copping and his partner Rambert Rigaud, an amazing florist, and their two cats have landed in the West Village after moving from Paris.
They both have beautiful Instagram accounts (@petercopping and @rambertfleurs) that now chronicle their visits to American museums and historic homes. While they say they don’t miss Paris too much, they do miss their weekend home in Normandy and I don’t blame them. While there were only a few photos included in the article, it looks like an idyllic place to recharge your batteries.
There was only one photo of Peter and Rambert’s West Village apartment in the Vogue spread but they occasionally post a little glimpse on Instagram. I’m sure it’s already promised to a magazine.
I love when they post photos of their Siamese cats Minnie and Tino. Their coloring exactly matches the coloring of the Siamese cat I grew up with for 14 years, Miss Kitty.
I don’t blame them for missing their beautiful home weekend home in Normandy, France.
The gorgeous flowers were arranged by Rambert.

More beautiful flowers by Rambert.

A view of Rambert Rigaud in his flower shop at 2 Rue de L’Université in Paris. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he opens up a shop in New York or offers flower arranging classes. He was previously a studio director in the ateliers of Yves Saint Laurent and Dior Haute Couture. He grew up in the town of Versailles and played in the chateau gardens as a child which was probably the best floral education in the world. I think this is the garden outside their home. It’s hard to tell because they visit so many beautiful places which they post on Instagram.
Owls symbolize wisdom and this one was very smart to roost at the gorgeous home of Peter and Rambert.
