I would like to say that spring is in the air but the windchill is making it feel like 9 degrees in New York this morning.  The only thing that gets me through winter is looking at spring clothes hanging in my closet standing ready to be worn the minute the weather warms up.  It’s my version of “if you build it, they will come.”  If you buy spring clothes, eventually warmer weather will arrive.

My first stop for transitional pieces for this spring is Emerson Fry.  This season they have focused on paler shades of grey to lighten up things but don’t worry, most pieces still come in basic black. I’m still trying to figure out what coats to pack for Paris Fashion Week and the Drop Shoulder Coat in Granite looks like a serious contender.

Everyone needs a little black dress and the Tie Up Linen Dress is a perfect option for dressing up or down. 

I may have to get the Drop Shoulder Coat in black too. 

I haven’t jumped on the sneaker band wagon yet but I’ve seen so many ladies wearing them to fashion week that I might have to try these Skater Shoes. 

Spring always means rain showers and this waterproof High Neck Shell is a chic foul weather gear option.
