“I have to tell you, I am in love with beauty. I have always loved beautiful objects.” This is the opening of Valentino’s new book Valentino: At the Emperor’s Table from Assouline. It perfectly sets the tone for the gorgeous photographs of the dining tables and spaces at his many homes. If you’ve ever seen the documentary, Valentino: The Last Emperor, you know Mr. Valentino gives a good party.  Even his book signing party last night was an elegant affair attended by friends like Carolina Herrera and Anne Hathaway. In this book, he gives you more insight into entertaining and the healthy meals his chefs prepare for him and his guests and the collections that make up the table settings.  We may not be live the luxurious life of Valentino but thanks to his new book, we can certainly try.
